In part 1, author explains about need of new “principle centered paradigm” for personal developments to improve oneself. He oulined sample of requirements from the people to work on their personal characteristics improvement such as parenting, marriage, profession relationships, etc. With these problems at hand he started his research reading over last 200 years of literature, and finally he observed a pattern difference between first 150 and last 50 years. While in the early years the focus was on ## Character Ethics where as in later years it was on ** Personality Ethics **.
The new principle is based on the synthesis of the early 150 years of works available in this literature.
The need of new paradigm requirement was explained by the author through various real life experiences of his own and some from literatures. His points on perception highlights the importance of the need of new paradigms and this has to be principle centered. Authors highlight on viewing and being broughts out the requirement of openness, pateience and acceptance of ignorance. To improve anything the intial step is measure the baseline, if this is totally different from the reality then improvement is not possbile.
Each learning phase has a stage of development, for the personal devlopment as well we have one. The stages has to be climbed step by step skiping the steps in long run will cause more damage and loss of reputaion and trust.
